The Largest 360° Projection Surface in the World

With more than 350 years of experience in architectural and construction technology, Saint-Gobain products made right here in Merrimack can be found all over the world, including Expo2020Dubai, the world’s premier innovation event.

The centerpiece of Expo2020Dubai is Al Wasl Dome, a magnificent 221 ft. high and 426 ft. in diameter structure, outfitted with a custom SHEERFILL® SGM-30 Tan architectural mesh, made right here in Merrimack. This fabric, while effectively optimizing air flow and deflecting heat, provides an optimal surface for projection, making it the largest 360° projection surface in the world! Over the six months of the Expo’s run, our SHEERFILL® product will help provide an amazing visual experience for an estimated 70 million guests, and truly encapsulates the Expo’s theme, “Connecting Minds and Creating the Future.”

Since 1854 when Saint-Gobain provided 37,000 panes of glass for the Glaspalast, the glass palace centerpiece of the Munich World Fair, our company has often showcased our newest and most innovative products at the fair. Nearly 170 years later, that remains the case, and products made right here in Merrimack are leading the way!

Saint-Gobain, the world leader in the habitat and construction markets, designs, manufactures and distributes building and high-performance materials, providing innovative solutions to the challenges of growth, energy efficiency and environmental protection.
