As a global company with a purpose of Making the World a Better Home, we are committed to do our part to combat climate change. In November, leaders from across the globe joined together at COP26 in Glasgow, Scotland to strategize and work together to solve this existential crisis. Saint-Gobain was represented by our Chief Executive Officer, Benoit Bazin, who stood with businesses, government officials and other representatives to advocate for policies to help our world achieve the goal of limiting global temperature rise to 1.5°C.
During the summit, Saint-Gobain hosted a discussion on supply chain and net-zero emissions, as part of a series rallying the built environment sector around net-zero. As one of the largest building materials companies in the world, we know that our industry as a whole accounts for 11 percent of global emissions and we all must be players in reducing our footprint, at all rungs on the supply chain ladder.
Saint-Gobain was honored to be a part of this summit and we will continue our push towards net-zero carbon emissions as we make the world a better home.
